A28-150 Brushed Electric Motor, 12V, 24V or 36 VDC, 6000 RPM

The AmpFlow A28-150 motor is designed to deliver the highest performance and efficiency possible from a brushed DC motor of this size. This is achieved by the use of rare-earth neodymium magnets, along with four brushes, and advanced electromagnetic computer modeling and design. This reversible motor can be used at voltages ranging from 12V to 36V (the RPM is proportional to the voltage.) At 24 Volts, it has a no-load speed of 6100 RPM. Peak short-term power output is 2200 Watts (3.0 horsepower). Peak efficiency of 80% is reached while drawing 40 Amps at 5500 RPM. The power output at 40 Amps is 770 Watts (1.0 horsepower). These motors are made from two sturdy aluminum castings and a seamless body. The A28-150 motor is 3.0 inches in diameter and 4.0 inches long. The 1/2-inch diameter shaft is two inches long, and it rides in two high-quality ball bearings. There is a short 3/8-inch diameter shaft on the rear of the motor for mounting an optical encoder. The heavy-gauge 12 AWG motor leads are 17 inches long. The motor weighs 3.8 pounds, and it is finished in a high-quality black powder-coat paint.
